Building 27 at Sand Point, Magnuson Park
directions and map below (it's easy to find).
$5 donation
Following their recent performance at the Arts-in-Nature Festival, the SPU will forego their typical intimate performance setting for the vast environment of a former aircraft hangar at Sand Point Magnuson Park . (Bldg #27, see directions below), allowing the natural reverberation of this large space to influence their improvisation.
There is no seating at this performance; listeners will be free to come and go, their echoing footsteps another component of the sonic environment. We recommend bringing a cushion and/ or a blanket and maybe a flashlight. The space is rather large and drafty and lighting will be minimal.
